After prayer requests and prayers the congregation sang the beautiful contemporary hymn "Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone." It's been sung many times before, but today, it was especially moving for a lot of people. You could almost feel God's presence in the room. There was just something different about it.
We were blessed to have Mitch Walker bring our message today, entitled "Adoption." He shared his family's personal story about when they adopted their two sons. The bottom line on today's message is that Jesus paid the price and we have been adopted by God into His family as Sons. We are privileged to be joint heirs with Jesus to everything that is the Father's, to live with Him in Paradise forever. All we have to do is accept Him.
Communion will be held next Sunday so we're hoping everyone that was too tired from taking the kids out for Halloween will attend. God's doing wonderful things at BBC and we want everyone to be part of it!
BBC is a warm and welcoming family of like-minded believers who come together to worship our amazing God. Since 1774 BBC has served the Blackwater community and while steeped in tradition we also blend in a bit of contemporary to transition to an exciting future. We'd love to have you join us!
