Chatter seemed endless before worship began today. People are just so friendly - it really is like family. We begin with prayer for those who are sick, praises for those who are healing and a special prayer for the victims of the Paris terror attacks. May God comfort and protect them all in the days to come.
We began by singing the contemporary "Majestic" with little Grace S and Emily K. helping out. We then moved on to "He Leadeth Me" and "God, Our Father, We Adore Thee."
We were blessed to have Rev. Jim McLendon with us today. (He was previously with us back in January). Today he brought a message based on John's letter to the Ephesians, out of the book of Revelation. The basic emphasis was:
Our blanket collection yielded plenty of blankets to be donated to the homeless. We now move on to the "Sock It To Me" sock collection! These mission projects serve to remind us of how truly blessed we are to have homes, plenty of food, and families of caring people in a world that is often harsh for the journey some have to take.
BBC is a warm and loving welcoming family of like-minded believers who come together to worship our amazing God. Since 1774 BBC has served the Blackwater community. While steeped in tradition we also blend in a bit of contemporary to transition to an exciting future. We'd love to have you join us!
