Last night we had two teams that visited 9 homes. God's timing was right on in several situations. No surprise there! We were able to pray with a family that just experienced some serious health issues, another family with new health concerns and the recent loss of a love one, a prodigal son who has an important court hearing, and a family that needs work assistance.
We have one more week of visitation planned. Thank you to all who have been involved.
Together in Christ,
Sunday was the first day I had been able to make it back to the prayer room in time to pray with the GW prayer team. I was struck by their steadfastness and sincerity in prayer. It truly blessed me knowing that others had prayed for the visitation teams and the homes that were being visited. Thank you so much to our prayer warriors who lift up others to our amazing God!
Yesterday, our visitation teams were blessed with Al & Susan Yoder who joined us in our visits. We had three teams that visited 9 homes. We were able to deliver 9 baskets, we had 3 left over which we will deliver today to friends and neighbors to encourage them. We were able to pray with 5 homes, the gospel was presented in 3 homes and we invited 7 homes to church. Pray that God will use the seeds that were planted for His glory.
Together in Christ,
Sunday night was another great night for the GWMT. It started off with 12 wonderfully prepared baskets filled with baked goods and fruit. When we first started this effort I had in mind a couple of cookies or brownies in a little baggie to take to the homes that we visited. But the baskets have far exceeded what I planned and what I expected. Often times I think that's how it is with God, He takes our little ideas and plans and multiplies them into His ideas and plans; and all He asks is for our obedience. Thank you to all the bakers and basket makers, you bless us and the homes we visit.
We had three teams that visited 9 homes last night. We were able to invite 7 homes to come to church, prayed with 6 homes, presented the gospel in 3 homes and 1 person accepted Christ as their Savior!!!! Several homes indicated that they plan to come and visit us at church. Please pray for these families and the one who accepted Christ. God is doing Great things! To God be all the glory.
Together in Christ,
I walked into the church last night and there were 12 beautiful baskets of baked goods and fruit! Thank you to the baking team you are doing great work.
There were 7 of us who went out on visitation in 3 teams. We could certainly sense the prayers that have been lifted up to God. The spirit of love & fellowship was evident and we thank the prayer team for praying for us and for those we visited.
We were able to make 11 visits last night. We prayed with 6 of the homes we visited, shared the gospel in 4 homes and invited 8 homes to church. A few of our visits were with some of our own wonderful folks that we just wanted to stop by and visit and be an encourgament to. Interesting thing, in the end all of us were encouraged as well. How blessed we are to serve such an amazing loving God. Thank you Jesus.
We have 4 more weeks planned, our next night of visitation will be sunday 10/7/12 at 6pm.
Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Thanks again to the baking team. We had nine very nice baked good baskets to share with people.
Thank you to the prayer team - your prayers matter, 1 John 5:14–15 says - And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
We had a great night last night on our GWMT. We had 3 teams made up of 8 people who went out on mission to GW. We made 10 visits, passed out 9 baskets of baked goods, invited 7 families to church, prayed with 6 families, presented the gospel to 3 homes, identified 1 home that needs the work team to provide assistance and 1 person accepted Christ as their Savior!
Looking forward to next week! If you'd like to join us on visitation we will be going out monday at 6pm.
Together in Christ, Pastor Greg
Last Sunday night there was a great turnout of 15-20 people arriving for the mission organizational meeting. Thanks to all who came and wanted to be a part of this.
The following night two teams visited five homes in the Gibbs Woods area. Five baskets of goodies were delivered. (Thank you to the Baking Team) The Visitation teams were invited to pray with three of the homes. They presented the gospel to two homes and offered work assistance to three homes.
It was really exciting and fun to see the heart of so many of BBC folks earnestly working and praying for this effort. If you’d like to join us, we’ll be meeting at the church at 6:30pm on Sunday 9/23. And to quote our prayer team leader: “Remember. . . God isn’t in the business of mediocrity, so PRAY BIG!! “
BBC is a warm and welcoming family of like-minded believers who come together to worship our amazing God. Since 1774 BBC has served the Blackwater community and while steeped in tradition we also blend in a bit of contemporary to transition to an exciting future. We'd love to have you join us!
